Engine Company Assist in Kennett Township

At approximately 1945 hrs on Sunday 07/27, the company was dispatched for two engines to assist Kennett Fire Company (24) along with Longwood Fire Company (25) in the Bayard Estates section of Kennett Township. Engines 23-1 and 23-2 along with Squad 23 made the response shortly thereafter.

Career Staff EMT Nikki Testa Returns From Fighting California Wild Fires

Avondale Crew Covers Belvedere

On Saturday morning a crew of five members headed to Belvedere, Delaware. Belvedere (NCC Station 30) was taking a bus trip to the Fire Expo in Baltimore, MD and needed a crew to cover their district for the day due to a large base of their members attending the event. Working Fire South of the Border

On Wednesday night at 1915 hours during our weekly work detail, the company was dispatched for an engine to assist New Castle County 19 (Hockessin) for a house struck by lighting in Tenby Chase. Engine(s) 23-2, 23-1, and Tanker 23 made the response at 1916 hours. Ambulance 23-1 was also requested to the scene by command for the fire standby. Full Story & Pics

 


 

Truck Into a House

On Tuesday July 22, 2008 Avondale Fire Company and Medic 94 were alerted at approximately 1700 hours for an auto accident reporting two box trucks into a house. Chief 23 (Swift) responded with in minutes. When the chief arrived on scene he stated that he had a box truck into the garage. All occupants were out of the residence and the involved truck. MVA with Entrapment 800 block of Newark Road
