Members Complete Fit Testing

For the past two nights about 25 members gathered at the fire house to under go face piece fit testing. The test is to determine which size mask fits the firefighter best. This is crucial to keep out harmful gases that firefighters encounter when entering a burning structure or operating at a hazardous materials incident. The test takes about 10 minutes to complete and has the firefighter perform facial movements while breathing through a SCBA mask to test the seal.
