Live Fire Training With WCFD Station 51 Date: May 10, 2009 On Sunday, May 10, members traveled to the West Chester Fire Training Center where they met up with the First West Chester Fire Company for a morning of live fire training. Members from First West Chester were kind enough to invite us to train with them in their new burn building. Multiple fires were set on the first and second floors for our members to advance in and put out. Members worked on many skills like hose line advancement, and management along with fire suppression skills. A lot was learned from this invaluable training. Avondale Fire Company would like to personally thank Station 51 (First West Chester) for the all of their hospitality and for providing us with the opportunity to train so we can better serve our community! We look forward to training with them again in the near future!
