shipped 4/23/23, 600 GPM rotary gear pump, chemical system, chain drive,
triple combination, 90 HP six cylinder motor, solid tires. It
was housed on 8/11/23 at a cost of $10,250. In 1944 the company
voted to have a large tank constructed for an additional water
supply in rural areas. It was sold for junk in 1947 to the Jake’s Junkyard in Kennett Square. |

cab, 350/200, front-mount pump, lighter engine purchased for long trips outside of borough where water was limited, booster reel mounted high
behind driver, Barton front mount pump, dual rear wheels, pneumatic
tires, cost $2,722, it was never housed, the body was produced in Roslyn,
PA and was sold in 1948.

126 HP motor, 500GPM Front-mount Darley pump, 1310 gallon tank, full contoured body. It was delivered 3/48 and housed on 5/25/49 at a cost of $6,704. Body
was built locally, and was remounted on the 1968 International.

Autocar C-/Oren, eight man sedan cab,
500/500. It was ordered in 7/47, the chassis was delivered 12/47, but it wasn’t delivered
to the company until 4/1/49 and it was housed on 5/25/49 at a cost of $12,000. It had a Autocar Type 501 motor, 6 cyl. 165HP. Sold
out of the fire service in 1965 or 1966 to Kaolin Mushroom Farms.
This type of cab was not a standard offering of the manufacturer
at the time. It had to be built aftermarket by a specialty
body builder, Hale pump, carried 30ft 3-section aluminum ladder,
1.5 KW portable generator purchased by the ladies auxiliary.

Dodge Power Wagon side step pickup, 250/150,
4x4 field piece. The chassis was purchased new for a cost of $2,341. The Testa brothers who were members and mushroom farmers, bought a Studebaker chassis and body from the Talleyville Fire Company (New
Castle County, DE). The brothers kept the chassis, but gave the
body to the fire company who mounted it on the Dodge chassis.
They nicknamed it "Pee Wee". It was sold out of the
fire service in 1983 to Jack Dent of West Chester. Mr. Dent sold
it in 1995 to an individual in Long Island.

used in 1964 from the City of Philadelphia, 200 GPM, placed body on 1968 International
4x4 chassis.

model HS-7-117, 750/750, delivered on 6/17/66, 285 HP gas engine. It was housed
on 7/21/66 at a cost of $23,000. It was sold to a dealer in Texas
in 1981.

International Loadstar 1600, full cab,
250/360, mini-pumper. The rig was built by the company members by remounting the body
from the 1949 Ford F/Ward LaFrance. The body was replaced in 1970
with a body they got from Bell telephone. The chassis was a 4x4.
It was sold in 1983 out of the fire service to a orchard in NJ.
In 2001, the truck was seen in a boat yard on the mainland outside of Long Beach
Island, NJ.

International Fleetstar 2110A, full cab,
750/1300, tanker-pumper. This was also built by the company members, body remounted
from the 1948 International, but the pump was mounted by Hahn,
model HMP-2. It was delivered on 6/11/68 and used as a shuttle
tank truck. It was sold to the Glen Moore Fire Company (Chester
County) in 2/92 for $3,500. Glen Moore sold it in 8/98 for $4,000
to the Charlestown Paving Company-Chester County. It was only
kept a couple of years when the pump blew, and was sold at an auction.

used in the 1970’s from the Hockessin Fire Company (New Castle County, DE), Serial #11252, sold to Bethel Township Fire Company (Delaware
County)in 1981, sold in 1989 by Bethel to a collector-Dave Reed, father of Firefighter Kenny "Bigfoot" Reed. Truck is currently housed in Elkton, Maryland.

The trailer was donated from Matlack Trucking of West Chester in 1974,
it is all aluminum, and the diesel tractor was also donated to
the company by Mushroom Transportation. The tractor was replaced
in 1978. |

used in Middletown, Pa. to replace the 1957 Mack B-61 tractor and was
replaced in the 1987 and sold to Wilenson Bros. of Landenberg.

Mack R Tractor, purchased used from Harvey
Mack to replace the 1962 International tractor in 1987. It has a Mack
350 HP engine, 9-speed Road Ranger transmission, sliding 5th wheel,
AM/FM radio, and air-conditioning. It was sold to the Daisy Construction
Company of New Castle, DE in early 1997.

Chevrolet Suburban, purchased new, it
was repainted by the company and is used as a manpower unit and to pull the foam trailer. It was converted to a chiefs vehicle in October
of 1996 when the new squad went into service. In 1998 the truck was sold to
an individual in Lancaster County.

unit. It was donated to the company by the Hewlett-Packard Company in 1991 when the plant shut-down. Sold out of the fire
service in 1995.

Mack MC/4-Guys, 4-door, 1250/2000, stainless
steel elliptical tank, tandem axle shuttle truck, 3 KW generator. It was housed on 5/30/92 at a cost of $179,000. This was the first 4-door unit ordered by the company. It was housed
at the New Garden Twp. Building since there was not enough room
in the firehouse. On 8/28/2000 around 8 o’clock in the evening,
the twp. building caught fire. The fire captain got into the bay,
and drove the rig right through the garage door to save it. Some
heat damage on top and to the paint. Sent back to 4-Guys for repairs.
Damages were only $5,000 for materials, and $10,000 for labor.
Placed back into service on 11/19. On 4/16/05 it was sent back
to 4-Guys to have the elliptical tank removed and replaced with
a cabinet style body with a 1500 gallon tank – converted
to a pumper-tanker. The cab was also repainted and the generator
was replaced with a 10KW Kubota diesel generator. It was received
back on 7/22/05, placed back into service on 7/30/05. The old
tank was sold to Hillbilly Fire Apparatus who was going to have
4-Guys mount it on a Mack chassis.
