Congratulations to Richard Lage on Fire Pump Graduation

 On Thursday June 14, 2012 Richard Lage graduated from the Chester County Fire School Pumper Driver/Operator Class.  He was acknoledged at the spring ceremonies held at the Wagontown Fire Company banquet hall. Pumper Driver/Operator program encompasses all prerequisites to meet the requirements of PA State and National Certification for Pumper Driver/Operator.

Subjects include Emergency Vehicle Operations, Maintenance and Inspection Procedures, Fire Service Hydraulics, and Placement of Pumping Apparatus at Fire Scenes, Instruction in the basic methods of water movement in the rural area. Tank trucks and large diameter hose are also utilized. Richard gave up his weekends and some weeknights for a month to complete the requirements.  The Avondale Fire Company appreciates Richard’s dedication to better protect and serve our community.
