Bistro 24 to Donate 10% of Proceeds to Mission for Marcy on November 6th

Marcy Riale, an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), has dedicated her life to helping other people. Not only has she been providing emergency care to the sick and injured of Chester County for almost 16 years, she also has served as a dedicated EMS instructor who has trained thousands of students in CPR and other emergency medical courses. She has earned numerous certifications and has proven to be a respected medical provider throughout the region. Just this year she was recognized for her work by being awarded the 2011 Educator of the Year by the Chester County EMS Council. (more…)

Annual Open House – Oct. 1st 2011

Our Annual open house is being held on Saturday October 1st, 2011 from 11am until 3pm. There will be a 9/11 memorial dedication ceremony at 11:30am. There will also be equipment on display, safety demos, & tours of our firehouse. Refreshments will also be available.

9-11 Memorial Stair Climb

What is a 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb?

On the morning of September 11th fire service members convene in high-rise buildings across the United States to climb 110 stories as a tribute to their fallen brothers. Some use air pack or carry hoses; many are in full turn-out gear; others are accompanied by rescue dogs. Each climber carries the photograph and biographical sketch of a firefighter who was lost on September 11, 2001.  (more…)

First Annual Basket Bingo

The Avondale Fire Company hosted there first annual basket bingo on Sunday November 11, 2007. We had approximate 130 people that attended. The Auxiliary committee worked on this event for months. Arranged on tables were door prizes, 20 Longaberger Baskets and Pottery prizes for each bingo game and a consolation prize. Attendees purchased their sheets of bingo cards for the 20 games they would play and a coverall card for and additional fee. (more…)
