Auto Accident on Route 41
On Saturday night March 2nd 2013 at 2319 hours The Avondale Fire Company (Station 23) along with Medic 94 (SCCEMS) was dispatched for an auto accident reported with an entrapment at Route 41 and Sharp Road. Chief 23, Ambulance 231, Medic 941 and 942 all responded at 2321 hours. The Chester County 911 center was receiving reports of a vehicle over an embankment into a tree with 1 subject out of the vehicle and 1 subject trapped. NGPD arrived at 2322 hours confirming a pick up truck over the embankment with all occupants out of the vehicle. Chief 23, Ambulance 231 and Medic 942 arrived on scene at 2324 hours, Chief 23 established “The Route 41 Command”. (more…)
Storm rolls in three calls for Avondale crews
On Sunday August 5th, 2012 at 17:42 hours Avondale crews were alerted for an auto accident South bound Route 41 north of the Route 1 By-pass. Just moments after dispatch the fireboard upgraded the nature to an auto accident with entrapment, which added Medic 94. Deputy 23 went responding at 17:44 hours and Rescue 23 marked up with a crew of 6 at 17:48 hours. Prior to Rescue 23’s arrival Deputy 23 arrived on scene and advised he had one vehicle on its roof, and 1 patient trapped. Rescue 23 arrived on scene at 17:53 hours and crews worked to stabilize the vehicle, extricate the patient, and assist EMS crews with patient packaging. Ambulance 23-2 went in-bound ALS to Christiana Hospital with 1 patient, and Ambulance 23-2 went in-bound to JRH BLS with 2 patients. Units cleared the scene at 18:51 hours. (more…)
Busy Day for Avondale Crews

On Thursday December 2, 2010 starting at 06:56 Hours, Station 23 was alerted for an auto accident on Kaolin Road west of Hartefeld Drive in New Garden Township. Ambulance 23-1 and Chief 23 (Decker) went enroute within minutes but were soon advised by PD on scene that there were no injuries and no need for fire or ambulance services.

On November 20th, 2010 at 1728 hours, The Avondale Fire Company along with Medic 94 was alerted for an auto accident at the intersection of Newark Road and Broad Run Road. Shortly after dispatch Lieutenant 23A (DiJoseph) arrived on scene with 3 vehicles involved, one versus a pole. Deputy 23 (Cole) arrived on scene and established Newark road CP.
